There is nothing like cooking with Cast Iron. Whether on a stove top, campstove, campfire and tripod, grill or something else, Cast Iron stays hot longer and heats very evening. I encourage you to season your Cast Iron monthly. To Season your Cast Iron wash and dry your cookware (I normally dry on a warm burner or campstove until dry) then coat with shortening, oil or lard. I wipe out the excess once done.
