🕯 Good Evening 🕯

Good evening. How's your Thursday been?
It's been a decent day weather wise and even warmed to the 30's. No complaints from me.
I spent my day working inside on housework. Maybe not my favorite but a necessary thing.
I hope you have a restful evening.

❄️A Snowy Thursday ❄️

Well it's Thursday and a very snowy one. It ❄️ snowed since yesterday morning and doesn't look like it plans to let up all day today and for a few more days to come.
So time for ☕️coffee and to start the day regardless 😊
What will you be up to for Thursday?

❆ A Good Wednesday Morning ❆

Good Morning.
I hope you have a great Wednesday.
We're expecting another round of
snow soon.
I have to go pick up Gracie's pain meds after coffee so I'd like the snow to hold off just a little bit.
How's weather where you are and what are your plans today?

Iowa Winter at Our House

 Good Morning.
What are your plans for today? We've been in a winter storm since yesterday. For the most part the dogs like all this snow. Marie isn't in the video since she isn't real fond of the wind and blowing snow. The other two could care less but they don't hesitate to come back in after playing a little. Yesterday 6 months old Gracie jumped off the wire playpen she used to sleep in and caught her leg. Unfortunately she fractured the leg. I was at work and so thankful my daughter Bryan N Brooke could get her to the vet before the storm really hit. I couldn't imagine her being in pain, with no meds or a splint all weekend. She's not a happy camper but she's going to heal in time. That playpen comes out of my room today! Cindy

A Commitment to Thrive

One of my important commitments is to
 Thrive Not Just Survive!
Heaven knows I've done enough of that in my life time.

I created a group on Facebook sometime ago in conjunction with Home at Hearth to Thrive and help you do so as well! I now have a page here on the new site dedicated to Thriving no matter what comes our way.The purpose of this site, group and page is to think more out of the box, be prepared for any emergency or disaster, stay up-to-date on what's happening in the world around us & how that can affect living, live simple if you want to, learn some prepper hacks, get supplies and products, have support and community with others and more. Aren't concerned about prepping or emergency preparedness!! No problem, although you may find some hacks and helpful info/products to just simplify life, cut down on costs of electricity for instance, eat healthier, be healthier overall, grow & make your own food, clean your house without chemicals and lots more.
So let's get to thriving beyond just 'surviving' life as it is!
Since the page is new and isn't a lot shared yet, I thought I'd share what I created last August since it's still as vital as ever in preparing for any disaster.
It's my first go at a video and e-book of this sort so it's a bit rough but you'll get a lot out of it regardless 😃 And don't forget to visit the page, stay connected and join the Facebook group as well.
I'd love to have you be a vital part of this!
-Cindy-

I've Created 'Gone Before You Get There' For People Like You. Be Prepared for any Disaster or Emergency that Happens. I've Created the video to show what's in the E-book I've prepared for you. Gone Before You Get There is yours right now for $19.99. The link is below to get your E-book. Once your payment has cleared you'll receive an email to download your ebook. Thanks Cindy

Inspired to Make the Best Butter

This morning I am inspired after I discovered an article about the best butter ever from Jersey cows.
I can't currently have Jersey cows or even mini cows where I live but I found a dairy that raises grass fed Jersey cows with no hormones. I can get the cream and or purchase the butter salted or unsalted.

I've made butter with the kids and grandkids when I homeschooled. I was careful but didn't give enough thought about where I purchased my cream.
I sure do now and am on a quest to make my own world's best butter at least for my home!

I hope you'll read Alex Halberstadt's quest for butter like he had at home growing up and ended up at
Diane St. Clair's Dairy with butter only sold once a year but the best of the best! Have a read below!
